There are three Ceremony Rooms within the Town Hall, and ceremonies are held Tuesday to Saturday, mornings and afternoons. Fresh floral displays are provided in each of our rooms, though you are of course welcome to bring your own, and there is also a sound system which can be used to play your choice of music as guests assemble and at the signing of the register or schedule.

The largest of our rooms is the Council Chamber, seating up to 100 guests (with the option of an additional 60 in the public gallery above). This impressive circular chamber, with its domed ceiling, stained glass windows and panelled wallsis fantastic for wedding photographs.

Room 99, on the other hand, is perfect for more intimate ceremonies, seating up to 30 guests. This high-ceilinged, airy room has been refurbished in keeping with the elegance of the building and decorated with tasteful simplicity.

The Mayor's Parlour is the third and most recent addition to the Ceremony Rooms. Whilst hinting at the splendour of the Council Chamber, yet maintaining the relaxed, intimacy of Room 99, The Parlour seats up to 13 guests.
