The Civic Hall has undergone extensive refurbishment and is an ideal venue for wedding receptions, concerts, dinners or meetings. The building which was once a Mechanics Institute was built in 1859 by the famous Saddleworth Architect George Shaw and has been modernised over the years but still retains its character. The Hall is licensed for Weddings and other Civil ceremonies. The building houses a large ballroom, and bar facilties upstairs with excellent lighting and PA equipment, whilst downstairs are two smaller rooms plus a large kitchen.
